Fire by Friction- Bush Craft Workshop

 

Join the Mondo Team this school holidays as we pack up and head out to Leanganook for a bush craft workshop!

 

Mirawara and Steph Brophy from Fire Keepers, will be leading us through a fun packed day of games, activities, a fire by friction workshop and story telling all on the beautiful Mount Alexander.

For ages 12-25 years

Steph Brophy is inspired by the magic of people and nature. After working, living and learning abroad for several years, she returned to Melbourne to rediscover the land she grew up on. Steph has long loved camping and bushwalking and has found joy in deepening her connection to nature, community and herself through earth-based skills and awareness. Steph has experience teaching and working with children both in classrooms and in wild nature and loves to help nurture their inner curiosity and wildness. She has completed studies of the Steiner teaching philosophy and has been working with Firekeepers for 5 years. Steph runs homeschool and holiday programs, facilitates our Village Camps, and is a celebrated storyteller and senior mentor for both adults and kids. She is committed to deepening her nature connection through immersive experiences and loves creating and practicing her bushcraft skills.
