📢 Public Service Announcement 📢 FReeZA just 📢 Public Service Announcement 📢
FReeZA just got a makeover 🤯😲

We had a blast at the annual Freeza Summit at the Melbourne Recital Centre a couple weeks back, and the Office for Youth delivered big news..!

After 25 years of loyal service, the Freeza program name & logo has gotten a revamp 💅✨

Say hey to *insert dramatic drum roll here..*..... Amplify!

Throw🔙 to ’97 – Spice Girls ruled. Triple j was alt-rock central, and FReeZA was born.

⏩⏩ Fast forward to now – music’s changed, but the vibe? STILL LOUD ‧₊˚🖇 ✩₊˚🎧⊹♡

Amplify = the next gen of youth led gigs, art and cultural events across Vic.

Amplify (formerly Freeza) will continue playing a key role in delivering youth led music, cultural events and training opps to youngsters around Vic.

New face, same local crew providing that super valuable platform to experience, and play, live music! 💞🥰

GECKO🦎

@gecko.band is a kickass alt-rock trio from Melbourne, blending together fundamentals of punk, rock and jazz to create their unique sound.

They met studying jazz at Monash University, which has been an influence of their distinctive sound and songwriting, alongside their personal influences and odd experiences fuelling their works.

Their music balances intensity and angst with a playful, offbeat charm, making them as unpredictable as they are unforgettable.

To continue our lineup of incredible bands for the To continue our lineup of incredible bands for the Freeza x Fringe event🦏:
TAMPERED HEADS 🏎️

@tampered_heads are an energetic hard rock band originating in Castlemaine, Victoria.

Starting out mid-2022, They were jamming and writing every recess and lunch in their school music rooms, and after experimenting with various band configurations and styles, they became confident enough to take their music further into the world.

After countless band rearrangements Tampered Heads found that they tend to work best as a duo, especially when they soon learned their shared talent and love of performing live music and eventually gained a bass player along on the way.

Making their own original songs, Tampered Heads take inspiration from their favourite artists including The Smashing Pumpkins, Queens of The Stone Age and Silver Chair, and re-create that sound into their own modern style of rock.

Tampered Heads spread a powerful message of creativity, individualism, and youth through their loud, aggressive music.
