Eight Metre Speaker

Eight Metre Speaker is a committee of young people that develop, plan and deliver events for 12- 25 year olds in the Mount Alexander Shire. The events we run can range from live music gigs, skate and BMX competitions, festivals, underage dance events, to film screenings and art exhibitions.

Eight Metre Speaker is always looking for new members who are interested in the music industries, tech production or event management.

As a committee member, you can gain experience in

  • event management
  • technical production
  • budgeting
  • booking musicians and artists
  • marketing and promotion

or just to have a say in what type of events you think your peers want to see happening in our Shire!

Eight Metre Speaker meets every Tuesday afternoon from 3.30-5.30pm at Mount Alexander Shire Council, Crn Lyttleton/ Lloyd st.

The Eight Metre Speaker FReeZa Committee is coordinated by Mount Alexander Shire Council and supported by the Victorian State Government.
