What is YAG?

The Mount Alexander Shire Council Youth Advisory Group is a group of local young people aged between 12 and 25 years that:

– Provide input into council decisions, strategies and plans
– Help Council to better engage with young people
– Help identify issues and solutions relevant to young people
– Develop leadership skills through training and delivering projects/events
– Assess Council’s Quick Response Youth Grants

Our Youth Advisory Group also coordinate a number of youth events throughout the year including the COscars Youth Film Competition and Youth Awards Festival.

We are looking for new members for the 2024 Youth Advisory Group.

  • are 12 to 25 years old
  • can meet after school on Wednesdays in Castlemaine
